Lessons for Ages 4 & 5
Piano, drums, and violin are the easiest instruments to start 4 & 5 year olds with music. We teach recorder lessons, guitar lessons and accordion lessons as well as preschool music classes for 4&5 year olds.
We recommend one of three options for students ages 4 & 5.
1. Kindermusik Classes with Miss Rose

2. 15 Minute Private Lessons
Many young students are who are not yet ready to concentrate for a full half hour can take a 15 min lesson. We have several methods that work well with the young beginner including Music for Little Mozarts. Your teacher is well trained to assess which method will work best for your child. Children have the opportunity to sing in the lesson if they ask their teacher.
3. 30 Minute Private Lessons
Some 4 & 5 year olds have the concentration needed for a 30 minute private lesson. Young children taking a 30 minute lesson will study piano playing, create their own music, learn how to write music, study music theory and learn about famous musicians. Often, the teacher will combine piano study with drums or violin. Children have the opportunity to sing in the lesson if they ask their teacher.
Of course, violin, drum, recorder and accordion lessons are available for the 4 & 5 year olds as well. Frequently, children this age try multiple instruments in their lessons. Because most of our teachers teach multiple instruments, students can try many options in their lessons. We use a small scale violin that is sized to your child. Let’s Play Music has these instruments available to rent or purchase. Rental is $20 per month and purchase price ranges from $79 to $119.
